Reading this piece of news, Google's or Apple's employees would love to work for Microsoft too. It's true they can benefit of substantial discounts, but Microsoft is truly generous. Steve Ballmer, the current CEO, decided that more than 90,000 workers will receive a bunch of free gadgets, including the upcoming Surface.

Generous Microsoft, Giving Away Tablets And PCs

One thing bothers me: those gadgets (tablets, PCs, phones) are so disappointing that Microsoft has to get rid of them and offers them as freebies to somebody who won't refuse them, its own employees, or is it that the company is determined to increase the satisfaction its workers feel daily? Either way, I can bet no employee would refuse the freebies.

According to Forbes, almost 94,000 full-time employees are set to receive not one, but three free goodies. Steve Ballmer promised his army of workers an RT Surface tablet, a Windows 8 PC and a Windows Phone 8 device. While workers will be free to use the tablet and phone at home and for work, the PC is for work only, which is good enough in the end of the story. As you can imagine some employees posted messages on Twitter and Facebook, expressing their delight, saying that Microsoft is the best company ever. Really? I thought Google's employees were the happiest ones with the money their family would receive, following death at work.

Anyhow, it’s a generous giveaway, for sure, perfect to supply a small American town, but what is Microsoft up to?  Is it that Microsoft wants to get its workers familiar with its new Surface tablet? Is it that Microsoft wants to be reckoned as an optimistic company to work for? Is it that Microsoft tries to draw attention on Surface Pro, scheduled for the beginning of 2013?
